Opportunities at the intersection of ethics education and science communication
The project team has organized a panel at the upcoming Congress on Teaching the Social and Ethical Implications of Research in November, 2011, to showcase leading work on the need for research ethics education to incorporate the challenges of ethics education, and the ways that communication exercises can enrich the ethics classroom.
Special Issue of Science Communication on Science Communication Ethics
The increasing calls for improved communication of scientific results need to be coupled with attention to the ethical challenges such communication may create. The goal of this special issue, edited by team member Goodwin, is to open a conversation around the topic between humanists and social scientists.
